Founded in 1990, Regalia Berger & Berger is a full service public accounting firm. Our professionals specialize in offering expert audit, tax, and consulting services. The Firm, and many of its professional staff, are members of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Regalia Berger & Berger is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and California State Society of Certified Public Accountants.
The firm undergoes an independent Peer Review every three years and strives to maintain execeptionalism in all facets of its professional services. All active CPAs maintain licensing in accordance with standards established by the California State Board of Accountancy (and the California State Society of CPAs).
As of January 1, 2025, RB&B is comprised of thirteen individuals, consisting of ten CPAs and three professional staff. Most of the firm's members began their careers with some of the largest accounting firms in the world, representing KPMG Peat Marwick, Arthur Andersen, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Ernst & Young, BDO Seidman, and others.
Members of the Firm have a wealth of experience not only in the accounting world but in private industry as well. Certain of the firm's employees have previously held positions in the private sector such as controller, chief financial officer, consultant, treasurer, and others. This enables us to bring a strong foundation and understanding of capitalism mixed with a healthy sense of tax and accounting rules to help our clients navigate the choppy waters of reality.

Douglas Regalia, CPA

Doug began his career with Peat Marwick Mitchell & Co. (now KPMG) in 1980 and worked for seven years in the Oakland and Walnut Creek offices. He left as Senior Audit Manager in November 1987 to work for Duffel Financial & Construction Company as Vice President - Finance and Chief Financial Officer.
The firm of Regalia Berger & Berger, CPAs was founded in 1990. Doug graduated summa cum laude from California State University, Hayward, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration. Doug was active in KPMG’s recruiting efforts, helped teach local in-office training seminars, and was the Senior Audit Manager on several of the firm’s larger bank and nonprofit audit engagements.
Doug is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants. Doug resides in the East Bay, where he and his wife raised four children.

Rachel Berger, CPA

Before joining the Firm in 2018, Rachel began her career as an Auditor with Ernst & Young in 2007. She became an equity owner effective January 1, 2025. While serving with a Big 4 firm for almost four years, Rachel specialized in conducting audits on a variety of hospitals. Subsequently, her career took her to Children’s Hospital, Glam Media, and then Salesforce. Rachel joined Regalia & Associates in 2018 and currently works in the Audit Department where she is primarily responsible for exempt organization audits.
Rachel is a California CPA and is a graduate of Miami University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting/Finance. Rachel then went on to the University of Colorado at Denver, where she received a Master of Science degree in accounting. Rachel heads the Firm’s Peer Review program and is responsible for compliance with AICPA and California State Board of Accountancy standards. Rachel recently successfully navigated the Firm through its most recent Peer Review (May 2024) with a rating of “Pass.”
Rachel lives in the East Bay with her husband and three children. Rachel is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Dave is a seasoned finance leader and CPA with over 18 years of experience spanning audit, corporate financial planning and analysis (FP&A), strategic finance, business partnering, and mergers & acquisitions (M&A) due diligence.
Dave began his career at Ernst & Young, specializing in audit and transaction advisory services. His early work in audit and M&A provided a strong foundation in financial reporting, compliance, and due diligence, which he has leveraged throughout his career. His expertise has driven value creation in key finance roles at Autodesk (NASDAQ: ADSK), a publicly traded 3D design software company, Tanium, a VC-backed security and systems management platform, and as Head of Finance and Business Unit CFO at ThousandEyes, a SaaS company acquired by Cisco (NASDAQ: CSCO).
Dave is a California CPA and graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a concurrent Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in Business Administration.

Dana joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 1999 after an extensive career with the California State Board of Equalization and other local CPA firms. Her background in both auditing and income tax preparation enables her to tackle a wide variety of issues for all of our clients
Dana is a Principal in the Tax Department and provides tax preparation and consulting services to individuals, partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and non-profit clients.
Dana has enjoyed serving on many educational Boards in the San Ramon Valley school district while her children were attending school, and continues her volunteer activities serving on exempt organization Boards in California.
Dana holds a California CPA license and continues her professional education through courses with the California State Society of Certified Public Accountants and other continuing education providers. Dana resides in the East Bay where she and her husband raised three children.

Lisa began her career with Arthur Andersen & Co. in 1988 and worked for four years in their Cincinnati and Chicago offices. She left as Senior Auditor to work for a Maryland-based CPA firm as Audit Manager, and then joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2013. She currently has primary responsibility for some of the Firm’s largest clients and has developed an expertise in auditing exempt organizations engaged in providing programmatic activities in foreign locations, including Myanmar, Burma, Costa Rica, and other areas.
Lisa graduated from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Decision Sciences. Lisa has a long history of volunteer experience principally as treasurer for various community organizations, such as parent-teacher associations and homeowners associations.
Lisa holds a CPA license (currently inactive) but stays current with all relevant accounting and audit matters through continuing education provided by the Cal State Society of CPAs. Her technical expertise includes areas of audit, accounting, and internal controls under Generally Accepted Auditing Standards. Lisa has a residence in the East Bay where she and her husband raised two children.

Tricia joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2007 after working in the accounting and construction industries for many years. With her extensive accounting background, Tricia is the Senior Audit Manager on a number of exempt organization engagements, where she has primary responsibility for the completion of all audit-related services.
Tricia graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from San Diego State University in 1984 with a Major in Accounting. Tricia works proactively with client personnel to ensure the timely completion of fieldwork on many of the Firm's audit engagements. Additionally, Tricia provides accounting and consulting support for some of the Firm’s clients who need assistance with ongoing operational matters.
Tricia resides in the East Bay where she and her husband raised three children. She is actively involved as a volunteer board member for certain community groups. She enjoys numerous outdoor activities including hiking in various East Bay locations and regular trips to Lake Tahoe.

Lisa joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2013 after an extensive career as a CPA providing tax consulting and related services for a variety of organizations, including large corporations, individuals, and closely-held entities. She has over 30 years of experience with serving individual and small business clients, helping them understand compliance issues and providing them with proactive tax guidance. Her background also includes multi-state tax preparation, expatriate tax issues, and other entity matters.
Lisa graduated from University of California - Berkeley in 1984 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting. She then pursued and obtained a Masters in Taxation from Golden Gate University in 1994.
Lisa holds a California CPA license and continues her professional education (primarily in the areas of taxation) through courses with various providers. Lisa resides in the East Bay where she and her husband raised two children.

Jenny Jensen

Jennifer has a background in business and accounting and joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2011. Prior to joining the firm, she worked for a variety of organizations, most recently as a consultant for a San Francisco law firm.
Jenny works in both the Audit and Tax Departments at the Firm where she has Managerial responsibilities for certain audit engagements, provides audit support for other audit engagements, and prepares tax returns for many of the Firm’s nonprofit clients. Jenny also provides oversight as the Administrative Officer of the Firm and helps monitor the workflow in all of the Regalia Berger & Berger’s operational areas.
Jenny is a graduate of University of California - Berkeley where she majored in Accounting. She is active in local school organizations (such as the PTA) and, in earlier years, played on adult soccer teams in the San Ramon Valley area. Jenny lives in the East Bay where she and her husband raised two children.

Valerie began her career as an intern with Regalia Berger & Berger in 2013. After completing her advanced degree at U.C. Davis, she then worked for Ernst & Young in the Audit Department of their San Francisco and Redwood City Offices, specializing in high tech and biotech industry clients.
Valerie re-joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2017 and works in both the Audit and Tax Departments where she has primary responsibility for audits of exempt organizations, fieldwork, internal control testing, and special consulting projects. Her tax preparation activities include corporations, partnerships, individuals, and exempt organizations (Federal Form 990, California Form 199, and California Form RRF-1).
Valerie is a graduate of University of California - Davis where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics and a Master of Professional Accountancy degree. While she attended college, Valerie worked as a proof reader for a professor of mathematics and was also engaged as a Statistics Tutor on campus offering assistance to undergraduate students providing basic statistical theory. Valerie resides in the East Bay with her husband and son.

Jenny spent much of her early career as a CPA with Pannell Kerr Forster (now PKF International) where she was involved with audit and review engagements and also provided support for corporate, non-profit, and partnership tax matters. She then transitioned to private industry,working for companies with SEC and worldwide reporting requirements. Jenny joined Regalia Berger & Berger in order to focus on serving exempt organizations. She currently has primary responsibility for some of the Firm’s larger clients, including those requiring audits performed in accordance with Uniform Guidance standards. Jenny has also developed an expertise in auditing exempt organizations engaged in providing program activities in foreign locations, including East Asia, Mexico, South America, and other areas.
Jenny graduated from the University of California, Irvine with a Bachelor of Science degree - Biology emphasis, and was well positioned as a pre-med candidate. However, she decided to continue her education at California State University, Los Angeles, where she obtained her Master of Business Administration which allowed her to pursue a career in accounting.
Jenny holds a California CPA license and continues her professional education in the areas of nonprofit accounting and income taxes. Jenny So resides in the East Bay, where she and her husband raised two children.

Shannon Morelli started her career at KPMG LLP in the Audit Department. She worked on a variety of clients spanning multiple industries in both the Sacramento and San Francisco offices. Shannon left in 2004 as a Senior Audit Manager. She then transitioned to ABM Industries, Inc. where her focus was on SEC Reporting, Sarbanes Oxley implementation, and managing consolidated close cycles from multiple divisions. Shannon later went to work at Electronic Arts where she was the Director of Corporate Accounting and focused on the worldwide close cycle.
She then left the corporate accounting world to focus on her family and raising her two sons. During these years, she volunteered in multiple roles such as Treasurer of the Moraga Juniors Women’s Club and the Elementary school PTA.
Shannon holds an active CPA license in the State of California and continues her professional education through courses with various providers. She obtained her degree from California State University, Chico in Business Administration with an emphasis in Accounting.
Shannon joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2021 with enthusiasm and excitement because she has always wanted to work with exempt organizations. Outside of work she enjoys reading, hiking, and attending her children’s sporting events. She lives in the East Bay with her husband and two sons.

Anita started her career in the Tax Department at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP in 2007 and worked in multiple office locations as a Tax Manager through 2016. Her primary focus was in private client services providing tax compliance and consulting to individual clients. She was also an instructor at regional trainings and National Tax Conferences. Anita joined Regalia Berger & Berger in 2024 and currently works in the Tax Department along with assisting on Audit engagements.
Anita is a California CPA and is a graduate of John Carroll University where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree in Accountancy in 2006 and a Master of Business Administration there the following year. Additionally, she earned her Master of Science in Taxation degree from Robert Morris University in 2012. Anita resides in the East Bay with her husband and two children. She also volunteers as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and is the Treasurer of the PTA at her children’s school.

Stephanie started her career as an auditor for KPMG in 2002. While serving as a Senior Audit Associate, she specialized in audits of Consumer Goods companies. With that experience, she ended up in Corporate Finance for various Consumer Goods companies for almost 20 years, including Gap Inc., Williams Sonoma Inc., PotBelly Sandwich Co., Walmart.com, Sams Club.com. She owned all areas of Financial Statement analysis on various accounts on the P&L which included setting budgets, forecasts, long range plans and reporting on profit and loss statements each month. Stephanie joined Regalia Berger & Berger in August 2024, and primarily focuses on audits of exempt organizations.
Stephanie graduated from Cal Poly SLO with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, with a concentration in Accounting, and a minor in Economics. She currently lives in Danville with her husband and two children. She spends her free time walking their yellow lab, Clark, and making sure he doesn't tear the house apart!
